In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Animation Studios, Mickey and Minnie take to the skies above the past and present Disney Studios. With the background evolving from black and white to vivid color—just as our films did—Mickey and Minnie soar over 100 years of Disney history depicted by three iconic buildings that have each been the home of Walt Disney Animation Studios. Their flight begins over the Hyperion Studio where Mickey and Minnie were first created; then they soar over the Burbank Lot, built after the success of 1937's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The duo finally passes over the ''Hat Building,'' the current home of Walt Disney Animation Studios, as they make their way toward the next 100 years. The original animation drawing and background art represented in this lithograph are archived at the Walt Disney Animation Studios' Animation Research Library.
